Hello Sisters!
April is a
good month to get rid of hindrances! I have a tendency to accumulate piles of paper,
creating a major paper crisis! So when we prepared our taxes, I took the opportunity to
throw out a lot of papers, shredding and recycling them.
I sort, file, and trash. I'm sure the piles will pile up again but, for now, my files are
adequately purged. However, paper piles can be the least of our problems.
There are
lots of things that can hinder our walk with God. Face it, if your life is cluttered with
earthly junk, you're going to have a hard time concentrating on Godly stuff. Cluttered
minds, cluttered houses, cluttered schedules are major hindrances.
Some of the
things you cast off are easy to get rid of -- like excess paper. But what about the hard
things? Grudges. Busyness. Worries. These aren't so easily discarded, but if you want true
renewal, you will have to do a little work! |
Guiding Scripture...
Be transformed by the
renewing of your mind.
Romans 12:2
April's Scripture
"Let us throw off
everything that hinders."
(Hebrews 12:1b)
Write this scripture
down and post it in a frequented area so it will become a part of your mind, your heart,
and your soul. |
Besides identifying three hindrances, I want you to prayerfully make a plan
to get rid of these hindrances. It may be a quick break or it may take a little time.
But do it!
You will experience God's renewal when you put Him first in your life!
PRAYER
God, I have a lot of
things that are interfering with my
walk with You. I've let stuff, clutter, and emotional issues
weigh me down and separate me from You.
Guide me. Lead me. Renew me.
Help me always focus on You while throwing
off all things that hinder.
In Your Son's precious Name!
AMEN! |
