Hello Sisters!

Life is not always kind. Usually it's pretty good, but there are times when things are just awful.

Do you think you should be exempt from trouble because you're a Christian?

If the answer is yes, you're not alone. Most people (Christian or not) think they should be exempt from bad stuff if they live a pretty good life. So much of this thinking comes from our childhood. If you are good, you are rewarded. If you are bad, you're punished. And that mentality carries over to our adult life -- especially for Christians who really try to do right. The so-called prosperity preachers make the situation even worse. They preach that you ARE exempt from troubles. But that's not what the Bible says.

Romans 12:2

March's Scripture

"...time and chance
happen to them all."
(Ecclesiastes 9:11b)

Write this scripture down and post it in a frequented area so it will become a part of your mind, your heart, and your soul.

Throughout the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon (the world's wisest man) tells us that bad stuff happens to good people, and good stuff happens to bad people. He also tells us that bad stuff happens to bad people, and good stuff happens to good people. It's what Solomon calls "TIME AND CHANCE."

Sisters, when I caught the magnitude of this scripture, it changed my life. We live in a sinful world where bad things happen. We also live in God's world where good things happen.

As Solomon says, the rain falls on us all. It's just part of the plan. It's just part of life.

Beloved, accepting this truth and not fighting it will free you in many ways. You won't become angry at others (and at God) when things go bad. You won't become uppity when incredible good fortune comes your way. You will become at peace with life, knowing that time and chance happen to us all. It's God's plan, and it's all right.

This month, if something goes really wrong, remember this
scripture. Allow it to free you from the wrong belief
that as a Christian you are exempt from all problems.
When things go right, remember to rejoice and thank God!

PRAYER
Praising You is easy when things go right.
But it's sometimes hard to praise You when things go wrong.
Remind me constantly that time and chance happen
to us all...that you made the rain to fall on both
good and bad people.
Keep me focused on YOU and Your glorious Son!!
AMEN!
